02- Budget Hierarchy

This is Such great Configuration tool. It is Visual, easier to understand, Build and Manipulate. Just like the Workflow. I wish all configuration tools are like this one, it is even better than the wizard and Dynamics just utilize it Very well. 

 Hierarchies Build up the links between the Cooperate Components. it is flexibly allow to rearrange these components form multiple prospective and for Multiple purposes. for example, all Organizations consist of departments. However, we may arrange departments in hierarchy design according to the reporting line, or we can arrange the same departments according to the Budget planning workflow. and so on .

the Organization components  are

  1. Legal entities
  2. Departments
  3. Cost centers
  4. Business Units
  5. Values stream 
  6. Retail Channel

Each Hierarchy should be assigned to a purpose, and based on the Purpose some components make sense and others don't. So based on the Purpose comes the Components.

Hierarchies are foundation configuration in Multiple modules across the system. Here we are going to Discuss only purposes related to Budgeting which are,

  1. Budget planning 
  2. Security.
every Budget process is attached to Hierarchy and it is automatically retrieve the Hierarchy components to the Budget process. along with the relations between these components.  For example, if we have two departments that each submit his Budget to Finance department. we would just build a Hierarchy to represent this flow. Finance at the very to, and the other two departments in a lower level. then, we would attach this Hierarchy to the Budget process to Apply all that to the process.

Let's Build Up The Hierarchy,

Step #1
open the Organization Hierarchies From Organization Administration Module, and Create New Hierarchy.

Step #2
Click Assign Purpose Button.

Step #3
Assign the Hierarchy to two Purposes Budgeting planning and Security,
Find the Security Purpose and Click Add to the right to add the Hierarchy we just created, 

Step #4
Find Budget planning Purpose, and Then Add our Hierarchy.
Step #5
are you excited to start Building the Workflow. you should, Click View to open the Designer.


Step #6
Bear in Mind that you are Building a Budget planning Hierarchy not Organization Hierarchy or else. Budgeting process is different than the Reporting line.  here we can build many Hierarchies each for different Purpose and Used in Completely different Context. 
lets Build simple Hierarchy . Just two departments that submit their Budget to Finance Department who should review and approve.

Stage Transition Budget Plan  let's resolve the Workflow Form, taking the First Auto task and play with a bit.  we know that  When you use “the Stage Transition Budget Plan Automated Tasks” it automatically look back to these two Configuration form,  Stages  and  Workflow Stages .  From Workflow stages tab link the workflow with the Specific Stages. Note Here, we cannot assign any workflow to any stages. Stages should make sense in the context of the workflow. One transition Task is make the transition from stage to stage. in the System workflow Number 154 we have two stages. How many transitions we need here ? Yes, you were Right. 10- Wrap Up Example #2

here we are going to play around with the Activation Task , Scenario 1 ; We added the Automatic Task Right after the Start Button. It will be activated before the first transition to the second Stage.  Go to the Budget plans and create new plan. Once Submitted, you will find two plans has been automatically created and Assigned to the department users as per the workflow Check in Workflow history to know when the auto task created Scenario #2 Now, assume you want to review the Baseline first before you create the Sub plans. This means that you want to create the Sun plans after the first transition and before the second transition. you can decide when to create the Sub plan by placing the Activation task wherever you want.
