This is Such great Configuration tool. It is Visual, easier to understand, Build and
Manipulate. Just like the Workflow. I wish all configuration tools are like this one, it is even better than the wizard and Dynamics just utilize it Very well.
Hierarchies Build up the links between the Cooperate Components. it is flexibly allow to rearrange these components form multiple prospective and for Multiple purposes. for example, all Organizations consist of departments. However, we may arrange departments in hierarchy design according to the reporting line, or we can arrange the same departments according to the Budget planning workflow. and so on .
the Organization components are
- Legal entities
- Departments
- Cost centers
- Business Units
- Values stream
- Retail Channel
Each Hierarchy should be assigned to a purpose, and based on the Purpose some components make sense and others don't. So based on the Purpose comes the Components.
Hierarchies are foundation configuration in Multiple modules across the system. Here we are going to Discuss only purposes related to Budgeting which are,
- Budget planning
- Security.
every Budget process is attached to Hierarchy and it is automatically retrieve the Hierarchy components to the Budget process. along with the relations between these components. For example, if we have two departments that each submit his Budget to Finance department. we would just build a Hierarchy to represent this flow. Finance at the very to, and the other two departments in a lower level. then, we would attach this Hierarchy to the Budget process to Apply all that to the process.

open the Organization Hierarchies From Organization Administration Module,
and Create New Hierarchy.

Find the Security Purpose and Click Add to the right to add the Hierarchy

Bear in Mind that you are Building a Budget planning Hierarchy not Organization Hierarchy or else. Budgeting process is different than the Reporting line. here we can build many Hierarchies each for different Purpose and Used in Completely different Context.
